This past week was the 40th anniversary of Humanae Vitae, and I have spent a lot of time reading a lot of commentary on it. In the end this is what the church teaches and even if the world does not agree with it each time we partake in the Mass and take the Eucharist and say Amen we are affirming that yes we believe not only in the real presence but everything the Catholic church teaches to be true. As a convert that is one of the things that we must say, "I believe and profess all that the holy Catholic Church believes, teaches, and proclaims to be revealed by God." Guess what guys this includes Humanae Vitae! As Christians we have to go against the grain. One problem I think that people have is that they do not fully understand the reasons behind the teachings. Maybe it is up to the priest in the local parishes to set the record straight.
There is my rant sorry. I was going to do it yesterday but wanted a post just to Saint Ann. Pray with me that people be more open to the teaching of the church. How different would our world be if all catholics would stand united on issues such as these.
